That was one long hiatus. I wish I had a good excuse, but the initial reason for my absence was silly (an expired credit card meant I couldn't log in to typepad), and the continued absence was really just due to general life busyness. The positive side of a three and a half year hiatus is that I have oh so many projects to share. So, let's jump into some crafts, shall we?
Over the past few years, I've made more diaper wallets than I can count. It seems like every time I turn around someone is having a baby. I love gift registries for their ease of use, but I feel like a new baby deserves a handmade gift as well. I started making these a few years ago, and they have proved to be a popular gift. This summer I finally took the plunge and put a few diaper wallets in my etsy shop. Lots of views so far, but no sales yet. I have some work to do to get the word out there.
My craftiness has definitely shifted towards sewing more than anything else. In the past I had done a little bit of everything - painting, bookmaking, embroidery, and paper craft stuff. But, for some reason, I've really gravitated towards sewing lately. Recently I have focused on gifts like the diaper wallet, burp cloths, pouches, and every once in awhile I still bust out a quilt for good measure.
I'm looking forward to digging through my old photos to share a bit of what I've been up to, and sharing my newest crafty endeavors. My credit card doesn't expire until 2015, so we should be good for awhile.
